Drug Instruction
Nizoral is prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections. The medicine may also be determined for other medical conditions as advised by your health care provider.
Intake Instructions
Use Nizoral as determined by your health care provider. Please use the medicine under you health care provider’s strict control. Necessarily perform a check up of the label on the medicine for learning exact dosing instructions.
You can take Nizoral by mouth with food or without it.
Please avoid taking an antacid within 1 hour before or 2 hours after you take Nizoral . In case you are also taking an anticholinergic (eg, hyoscyamine), an H2 antagonist (eg, famotidine), or a proton pump inhibiting agent (eg, omeprazole), take Nizoral at least two hours until the H2 antagonist, proton pump inhibitor, or anticholinergic.

Missed Dose
Should you miss a dose of this medicine please take it asap. Storage
Nizoral tablets: make sure to store at 59-86degrees F, It should be also strictly protected from moisture, heat and light.
Nizoral shampoo: store at a temperature not above 77 degrees F and entirely protected form light.
Safety Precautions
Taking the medicine is not recommended in case:
you have allergic reactions to any component in Nizoral
you have a fungal infection in the brain membranes (fungal meningitis)
you are taking an C21H27O5 blocker (eg, eplerenone), astemizole, cisapride, conivaptan, dofetilide, an ergot alkaloid (eg, ergotamine), midazolam, nevirapine, a quinazoline (eg, alfuzosin), rifabutin, rifampin, triazolam, or a 5-HT receptor agonist (eg, eletriptan)
Please inform your health care provider if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of these are applicable to you.
There are some medical conditions which step into INTERACTION with the medicine. Please inform your health care provider if some of them occur:
you are pregnant/planning to become pregnant
you are a breast-feeding mother
you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine,
you are passing the treatment course with herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
you have allergic reactions to other azole antifungals (eg, itraconazole)
you have decreased stomach acid (eg, hypochlorhydria)
you have a history of liver illness, common alcohol use, alcohol abuse or dependence, as well as blood problems (eg, prophyria)

Probable Side Effects
Please discuss with your health care provider if any of the mentioned most COMMON side effects afterglow or become or causing bother:
Emesis; stomach pain or upset.
Please seek medical attention immediately if any of these austere side effects occur:
Austere allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; hard breathing; tenseness in the chest; tumor of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); swelling; black urine; l sexual ability; depression; uncommon heartbeat; an abnormally high body temperature, chills, or resistant sore throat; appetite loss; anemia or tingling of the hands or feet; discolored stools; austere or resistant emesis or stomach pain; tumor or tender abdomen; thoughts of suicide; uncommon bruising or bleeding; uncommon weariness or exhaustion; changes in vision; emesis; retching, yellowing of the skin or eyes.
