Drug Instruction
Precose is prescribed for treating type 2 diabetes in adults whose diabetes cannot be controlled with diet alone. Precose may be determined for the use alone, in combination with other oral diabetes medicines, or with insulin.
Intake Instructions
Please use the medicine under you health care provider’s strict control. Necessarily perform a check up of the label on the medicine for learning exact dosing instructions.
Please make sure to intake Precose by mouth with food.
In case you also take charcoal or digestive enzyme preparations, make sure not take them within 2 to 4 hours before after taking Precose . Please consult your health care provider for more clarifications on medicine use and its safety instructions.

Missed Dose

Storage Instructions
Please make sure to store Precose at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). The container where the medicine is stored should be tightly closed. It should be also strictly protected from moisture, heat and light. Please make sure to retain the medicine away from pets and children.
Safety Precautions
Taking the medicine is not recommended in case:
you have allergic reactions to any component in Precose;
you have blockage of the stomach or bowels or are at risk for mentioned problems;
you have long-term (chronic) bowel inflammation, as well as colon ulcers, or stomach or bowel problems which intercross with digestion or nutrient absorption;
you have cirrhosis of the liver or uncommon abnormal liver function tests;
you have diabetic ketoacidosis (high ketone levels) or austere kidney dysfunction.
Some medical conditions may interact with the medicine. Inform your health care provider or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following are applicable to you:
you are pregnant/planning to become pregnant
you are a breast-feeding mother
you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine,
you are passing the treatment course with herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
you have allergic reactions to medicines, foods, or other substances
you have kidney troubles
you have an autoimmune disfunctions (eg, lupus)
There are some MEDICINES that step into INTERACTION with the medicine. Please inform your health care provider if you take some medicines, including:
Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin) as the risk of their side effects, involving bleeding, may be high levelled by Precose
Calcium channel blockers (eg, verapamil), corticosteroids (eg, prednisone), diuretics (eg, hydrochlorothiazide), estrogen, isoniazid, oral contraceptives (birth control pills), phenothiazines (eg, chlorpromazine), phenytoin, or thyroid hormone as they may high level or low level Precose 's effectiveness
Insulin or sulfonylureas (eg, glyburide) as the risk of their side effects may quite grow by Precose
Digoxin as its effectiveness may be low levelled by Precose
Probable Side Effects
Please discuss with your health care provider if any of the mentioned most COMMON side effects afterglow or become or causing bother:
bloating; diarrhea; gas; emesis; stomach pain; retching.
Please inform your health care provider if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the below – provided are applicable to you:
Austere allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; hard breathing; tenseness in the chest; tumor of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); austere stomach pain; yellowing of skin or eyes.
