Drug Instruction
Ponstel is prescribed for treating menstrual pain. It may be prescribed for products_description term (not more than 7 days) curing of mild to moderate pain. The medicine may also be determined for other medical conditions as advised by your doctor.
Intake Instructions
Please use the medicine under you health care provider’s strict control. Necessarily perform a check up of the label on the medicine for learning exact dosing instructions. Taking it with food may not decrease the risk of stomach or bowel problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers). Please immediately inform your health care provider if you have persistent stomach upset.
Please make sure to intake Ponstel with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL) as determined by your health care provider.

Drug Category and Mechanism
Ponstel represents a category of an NSAID. Exactly how the medicine works is not yet explored. Please note that the medicine may block certain categories of substances in the body which are directly linked to inflammation. NSAID is prescribed for the treatment of the symptoms of pain and inflammation. Please note that they are not intended for the treatment of the disease which causes those symptoms.
Missed Dose
Should you miss a dose of this medicine please take it asap. If you find you have missed the previous dosage when it is almost time for your next dose, you should better skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Taking double or extra doses at once is not recommended. If more than one dose is missed, please contact your attending medical doctor or health care provider.
Storage Instructions
The best conditions to keep the medicine is at and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). The container where the medicine is stored should be tightly closed. It should be also strictly protected from moisture, heat and light. Please make sure to retain the medicine away from pets and children.

Taking the medicine is not recommended in case:
you have allergic reactions to any component in Ponstel;
you have had an austere allergic reaction (e.g., severe rash, hives, hard breathing, increase in the nose, giddiness) to aspirin or a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib);
you have closely had or will be having bypass heart cure;
you have kidney problems, ulcers, or ignition of the stomach or bowel;
you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
Some medical conditions may interact with the medicine. Inform your health care provider or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following are applicable to you:
Crucial Information:
Ponstel may cause giddiness or vertigo. These effects may get worse if you take it with alcohol or certain categories of medicines. Please make sure to use Ponstel with caution. Please note that driving or performing other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to it.
Austere stomach ulcers or bleeding can take place with the use of Ponstel. Taking it in overdosages or for a long time, smoking, or drinking alcohol brings about the growth of the risk of these side effects. Please note that taking Ponstel with food will not decrease the risk of these effects.
Please discuss with your health care provider if any of the mentioned most COMMON side effects afterglow or become or causing bother:
Austere stomach or back pain; dark, tarry stools; retching that looks like blood or coffee grounds; or uncommon weight gain or swelling.
Please avoid taking more than the recommended dose or take the medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your health care provider.

Do not take aspirin while you are using Ponstel unless your doctor determines you otherwise.

Lab tests, involving kidney function, entire blood cell counts, as well as blood pressure, may be executed while you use Ponstel. Please take into consideration that these tests may be prescribed to control your medical condition or perform a check up for side effects. Make sure to retain all doctor and lab appointments.
Use Ponstel with caution in the elderly patients; please note that they may be more sensitive to its effects, in particular this refers stomach bleeding and kidney problems.
Ponstel should be taken with extreme caution in children 14 years old; safety and effectiveness in these age category has not been yet explored.
Please be careful as Ponstel may cause damage to the fetus. Make sure not to use it during the last 3 months of pregnancy. In case you think you may be pregnant, please immediately contact your health care provider. You will be in need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Ponstel at the period of pregnancy. Ponstel outfalls into breast milk. Please avoid breast-feed at the period of taking Ponstel.

constipation; diarrhea; giddiness; gas; headache; heartburn; emesis; stomach upset.
Please inform your health care provider if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the below – provided are applicable to you:
austere allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; hard breathing; tenseness in the chest; tumor of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); uncommon involuntary movements; bloody or dark, tarry stools; chest pain; depression; fainting; delusions; one-sided weakness; continuos, watery nasal discharge; progressive, austere headache; hard breathing; ringing in the ears; convulsions; slurred speech or hard speaking; stomach pain; rapid and unexpected confusion; unexpected daytime sleepiness; unexpected loss of coordination; changes in vision; retching blood or a substance like coffee grounds.
