Drug Instruction
Mircette is prescribed as contraception to prevent pregnancy. Mircette may also be determined by your health care provider for purposes other than those which are listed in this medication guide.
Intake Instructions
Please use the medicine under you health care provider’s strict control. Necessarily perform a check up of the label on the medicine for learning exact dosing instructions. You should take your first pill of the medicine on the first day of your period or intake Mircette the first Sunday after your period starts.
Take one pill each day, thus remember that it can be no more than 24 hours apart. When the pills are over, please necessarily start a new pack the next day. Please remember that you may get pregnant if you do not use this medication continually. Make sure to get your prescription resupply before your tabs are completely over.

Drug Category and Mechanism
Mircette is based on a combination of female hormones which help to prevent ovulation. Mircette also causes changes in your cervical slime as well as uterine lining, making it more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus thus more impossible for a fertilized egg to stick to the uterus.
Missed Dose
Should you miss a dose of this medicine please take it asap.
In case you miss one pill, please immediately take two pills on the day you remember. Also make sure to take one pill per day for the rest of the pack.
In case you miss two pills in a row in week one or two, necessarily take two pills per day for two days in a row. Taking one pill per day for the rest of the pack is recommended. Also make sure to intake birth control for at least 7 days further to the missed pills.
In case you miss two pills in a row in week 3, or if you miss three pills in a row during any of the first 3 weeks, please make sure to put out the rest of the pack and open a new one the very day if you are a Day 1 starter. In case you happen to be a Sunday starter, please persist taking a pill every day up to Sunday. On Sunday, put out the rest of the pack and open a new one that day.
In case you miss 3 tablets in a row during any of the first 3 weeks, please make sure to put out the rest of the pack and open a new one on the same day if you are a Day 1 starter. In case you happen to be a Sunday starter, please persist taking a pill every day until Sunday. On Sunday, put out the rest of the pack and open a new one that day.
In case you miss two or more pills, you can occur not to have a period during the month. In case you miss a period for two months in a row, please make sure to consult your health care provider as you may be liable to be pregnant.
Storage Conditions
The best conditions to keep the medicine is at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is allowed. The container where the medicine is stored should be tightly closed. It should be also strictly protected from moisture, heat and light.
Safety Precautions
You may be in a serious need to use back-up birth control, such as condoms or a spermicide, when you just start using this medication. Please make sure to keep the process under your health care’s strict control. Please note that you may have breakthrough bleeding, this may occur especially during the first 3 months. Please inform your health care provider in case your bleeding continues or becomes severe.

sudden anemia or weariness, especially on one side of the body; uncommon headache, confusion, pain behind the eyes, changes in vision, speech, or balance; chest tenseness or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, emesis, sweating, aches throughout body; a change in the pattern or sternness of migraine headaches; retching, stomach pain, low fever, appetite loss, dark urine, clay-colored stools, icterus (yellowing of the skin or eyes); swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet; breast lump.
