Take this medicine to treat or prevent breathing problems in asthma patients as well as other airway diseases. You can also take this medicine for preventing breathing disorders caused due to exercise. You can also use this for treating other conditions if directed by your doctor.
How Taken
For treating asthma symptoms like tightness in the chest, breathlessness and wheezing following the schedule mentioned below:
- Adults: take one to two stuffs for relieving symptoms. You may also take two puffs ten to fifteen prior to exercising or getting exposed to a trigger.
- Children: take one to two stuffs for relieving symptoms. You may also take two puffs ten to fifteen prior to exercising or getting exposed to a trigger. In general you need to take 8 puffs in a day
For routine treatment:
* Adults and children: Two puffs for 4 times in a day.

Ventolin is defined as a sympathomimetic (beta agonist) bronchodilator. It relaxes the smooth muscles of your airway and allows the air to flow in as well as out of your lungs more simply.
Missed Dose

- MAOIs (e.g., phenelzine), Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitors (e.g., entacapone), tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline) stimulants (e.g., amphetamine), products_description-acting sympathomimetic bronchodilators (eg, metaproterenol), or sympathomimetics (eg, pseudoephedrine), as they can increase the chances of developing the side effects
- Beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol) as they can decrease the effectiveness of this drug
- Digoxin as it lowers the effectiveness of this drug

More Information
Don’t take this medicine with beta-blockers, like atenolol, propranolol, or timolol. It is because beta-blockers create an adverse action to this medicine as well as constricts the airways.
