Uses of the Drug
Urispas helps to relieve pain, urgency and frequency of urination and nighttime urination related to some medical conditions. Urispas is often used along with some other drug for treating ulcers. The doctors can also use this for some other medical conditions.
How to Take
Flomax should be taken as per the doctor’s recommendations. The label of the medicine should be checked for the right instruction on dosing.
- Flomax comes along with an additional patient leaflet. You should consult your pharmacist in case of any query.
- Swallow whole Flomax. Do not crush, break, chew, or open the capsules before you swallow them.
- If you ever miss a dosage of Flomax and are taking it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

The doctors can also use this for some other medical conditions. Urispas is considered to be an anticholinergic. It functions by reducing the ???muscle spasm’ of bladder.
Missed Dose
If you ever miss a dosage of Urispas and are taking it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Storage
Urispas should be stored at the room temperature at 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). It should be stored away from light, moisture and heat.
Warnings Precautions
Urispas should NOT be taken if:
- you are prone to allergies to a single ingredient present in Flomax
- you take one more alpha-blocker (eg, prazosin)
You should get in touch with the doctor very soon if you notice any of the above-mentioned problems. Some of the medical conditions might have interaction with Flomax. Inform your pharmacist or doctor in case you are having any other diseases and particularly if you are having any one of the below mentioned list:
- if you have conceived, or planning to get pregnant, or breast-feeding
- if you take any nonprescription or prescription medicine, dietary supplement, or herbal preparation
- if you are allergic to foods, medicines, or some other substances
- if you had a serious allergic reaction (eg, hives, severe rash, dizziness, difficulty breathing,) to sulfonamides (sulfa) medicine, like celecoxib, acetazolamide, some sulfonylureas (eg, glyburide), diuretics (eg, hydrochlorothiazide), probenecid, sulfamethoxazole, zonisamide, or valdecoxib.
- if you had any record of prostate cancer or high levels of blood pressure
- if you are going to have an eye surgery.
Some of the MEDICINES MIGHT HAVE INTERACTION with Flomax . Inform your pharmacist or doctor in case you notice any one of the below mentioned medicines:
- phosphodiesterase inhibitors (eg, sildenafil) or Alpha-blockers (eg, prazosin) since signs of low levels of blood pressure (eg, lightheadedness, severe dizziness, plus fainting) might occur
- Azole antifungals (eg, ketoconazole), serotonin or cimetidine, particular reuptake inhibitors (eg, fluoxetine) as the side effects of Flomax might be increased.
- Warfarin as the side effects of Flomax might be increased
Common Side Effects
All medicines can have side effects. However, there are some people who have either less or no side effects. Check whether you have any of the side effects as mentioned below and in that case consult your doctor as soon as possible:
* blurred vision; Back pain; cough; diarrhea; decreased sexual ability; dizziness; lightheadedness; drowsiness; stuffy or runny nose; trouble sleeping; sinus inflammation; weakness.
You should consult your doctor immediately in case you have the serious side effects as mentioned below:
* Serious allergic reactions (hives; rash; itching; tightness in chest; difficulty in breathing; swelling of face, lips, mouth, or tongue); fainting; chest pain; fever, or chills, constant sore throat; prolonged, irregular heartbeat; severe of persistent dizziness; painful erection.
