Use Instruction
Actoplus Met is prescribed for treating type 2 diabetes. The medicine is used along with diet and exercise program. Actoplus may be prescribed for use alone as well as with other antidiabetic medicines.
Intake instructions
This medicine should be taken under your health care provider’s prescription and control. Please make sure to check the label on the medicine and find information concerning exact dosing.

This medicine should be taken by mouth with food.
Please take Actoplus Met on a standard schedule to achieve the most benefits from it. Taking the medicine at the same times each day will help you aware from taking it.
Continue to take Actos even in case you feel well. Make sure not to miss any doses.
Drug Category and Mechanism
Actoplus Met represents a phenformin and thiazolidinedione antidiabetic combination. It functions by abatement the level of sugar the liver performs and the intestines soaks up. The medicine also helps to make the patient’s body more sensitive to the insulin which you naturally perform.
Missed Dose
Should you miss a dose of this medicine please take it asap. Storage

Brief storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is allowed
Safety Precautions
Taking Actoplus Met is not recommended in case:
you have allergic reactions to any component in Actoplus Met
you have type 1 diabetes
you have temperate to austere heart failure
you have a severe contagion, low blood oxygen standard, troubles in kidney or liver, or high blood ketone or acid levels (eg, diabetic ketoacidosis), or you are extremely dehydrated
you had a recent heart attack or a stroke
you are 80 years old or more
you have not provided a kidney function test
you are going to have a surgery or certain lab procedures in the nearest time
you have a history of liver problems, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)

There are certain medical conditions which may step into interaction with Actoplus Met . Please kindly inform your health care provider for more information on medical conditions, especially if any of the below – mentioned conditions are applicable to you:
pregnant or planning to become
breast-feeding mothers
you are taking other medicines, including non-prescription medicines, nutritional supplements, and any other herbal products
you have allergy to medicines, foods
you have a history of heart problems (eg, heart failure), extreme liver performance tests, lung problems, hard breathing, thyroid troubles, stomach or bowel function worsening, (eg, paralysis, blockage), adrenal or pituitary troubles, eye or vision changes (eg, macular degeneration), bladder cancer,
you have fluid conservation or swelling troubles, emesis, diarrhea, sick, low level of blood calcium or vitamin B12 levels, or anemia, dehydration
you have an infection, an abnormally high body temperature, recent wounds,
you have a history of bone breakage, sick bones (eg, osteoporosis), or low level of calcium intake
have a history of alcohol abuse
are planning to have surgery or certain lab procedures
take a beta-blocker (eg, propranolol)
Some MEDICINES MAY occur in INTERACTION with Actoplus Met . Please make sure to inform your doctor of your intake of any other medicines, this is especially applicable to any of the following:
Amiloride, cimetidine, Digitalis lanata, morphine, procainamide, quinine, ranitidine, triamterene, as they can cause the risk of Actoplus Met 's side effects
Calcium channel blockers (eg, nifedipine), diuretics (eg, furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), hormonal contraceptives (eg, family planning pills), insula islet, isoniazid, nicotinic acid, diphenylhydantoin sodium, sympathomimetics (eg, albuterol, pseudoephedrine), or thyroid hormones (eg, levothyroxine) as they make increase the risk of high or low blood sugar levelling upward
Gemfibrozil as they may increase the risk of Actoplus Met 's side effects
Rifampin as they may lower the medicine effectiveness, impacting in high blood sugar
Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin) as their efficacy may be lowered or the risk of their side effects may rise higher by Actoplus Met
Probable Side Effects
