Please note that this medication may rarely become the reason for a severe intestinal condition (pseudomembranous colitis) due to resistant bacteria. This condition may happen even weeks after treatment has stopped.
Make sure to stay away from using anti-diarrhea products or narcotic pain medications ifn case you have the below provided as these products may be the reason for worsening.
Please inform your health care provider immediately if you develop: persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, as well as blood/mucus in your stool.
